Honoring the belief that art is a universal language, The Journey Daybook learning cooperative offers participants a heightened sensibility of themselves and the world around them. Participants learn the process of making and illuminating a personal journal in order to discover their artistic sensibilities. This process nurtures the spirit, serves as a catalyst for greater harmony, and provides a unique artistic legacy. The Journey Daybook process includes four elements: the journey; contemplation; being present; and working alone.

What happens when 55 talented artist members of Plein Air Painters of New Mexico spread out all over New Mexico to paint? Find out at our reception and show, June 7, 5-7 pm at Weems Gallery and Framing, 5935 Wyoming Boulevard, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. 505-293-6133. Show continues through June 23, 2024.
"Plein Air" refers to painting outside in the open air. To qualify as a "Plein air painting," 80% of the work must be completed on site.
